What it is
5-Amino-1MQ is an orally available small molecule that inhibits nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme expressed in adipose tissue.
How it works
Inhibiting NNMT raises intracellular NAD+ availability in fat cells, which in preclinical models increases energy expenditure within the adipocyte itself.
